Why Computer Keyboard Keys F and J has ridges on it?

There are two keys on your computer or laptop keyboard that have little bumps on them called ridges were invented to improve keyboard and typewriters by June E Botich in 2002.

They can be found on the F and J keys and they’re to help you correctly place your left and right hand in the best typing position so you don’t have to keep looking down on your keyboard while you type.

Without looking at your keyboard, you should be able to feel the ridges and correctly position your left index finger on the F and your right index finger on the J.

Then place the other fingers of your left hand over the letters A, S, D and the fingers of the right hand over the letters J, K, L and the semi colon.

This should leave your thumb resting comfortably over the space bar of the keyboard.
